How to make a Reverse side eBook Cover for Right to Left reading languages.
I received a request last night by email asking about eBook covers for right to left reading languages. It’s interesting, I had never even thought of that!! Nor have I ever seen another eBook product out there that offers this capability. I was therefor inspired to get up early this morning and create a tutorial to show you how to do this! …And the great thing is, you don’t need a new set of eBook cover templates or eBook cover action scripts.
All you need to do is add 2 simple additional steps.
Additional STEP 1:
Open your design file and the eBook cover PSD file. Hit command+T or control+T and horizontal flip your cover image (now your eBook cover is backwards!).
Next, do what you would usually do with these actions, copy and paste your *backwards* design into the proper layer group and hit PLAY on the proper action script. The action will create the book cover.
Additional STEP 2:
Now we have a regular ebook cover but with a backwards graphic, so what we need to do is the same thing as STEP 1! Merge all the layers (except for the background layer). Hit command+T or control+T and horizontal flip and voila! …our cover image is no longer backwards but our book image now has the coils (or spine) on the reverse side.

So it’s just that easy to create a reverse side ebook cover for right to left reading languages… no need for new ebook cover actions, we just need to flip our image twice!
